Stone Slinger Driver/Operator – CDL Class B
Job Description
We are looking for safe and dependable CDL Class B Stone Slinger Driver/Operator to join our growing team. Experience is preferred but not required. we will train qualified candidates. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a CDL Class B stone slinger truck to deliver and place aggregates (stone, sand, topsoil, etc.)
- Perform precise material placement using the slinger conveyor system
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and equipment
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure proper daily maintenance
- Follow all DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, project managers, and jobsite personnel
- Navigate to residential and commercial job sites, including tight or challenging access areas
- Assist with general labor tasks on-site when needed
- Accurately complete delivery tickets, logs, and required documentation
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
Skills:
- Strong equipment operation skills and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to operate or learn specialized equipment (stone slinger conveyor systems)
- Good spatial awareness and precision placement ability
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills with crew members and customers
- Problem-solving skills in dynamic jobsite environments

Requirements:
- Valid CDL Class B license (Class A is a plus)
- Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions in all seasons
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job duties as needed
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends during peak season
- Basic understanding of construction sites and safety practices (preferred)
- Experience with dump trucks, conveyors, or similar equipment (preferred but not required)
- Willingness to learn and be trained on stone slinger operations
Compensation & Benefits
-Pay for this position: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour
